What is options counseling?

We know that planning for pregnancy can sometimes include many difficult decisions that require careful consideration. Options counseling allows you to explore the support networks, short-term and long-term goals, financial priorities, and emotional considerations for you and your baby. Some people know that parenting is the right choice for their family; other people choose adoption. Some people consider both at the same time. We are here to support you throughout this conversation.

For people who wish to learn about adoption, we discuss your options for Open Adoption, honoring your child’s cultural identity, and the legal processes of adoption planning.

Through Open Adoption, you can sustain a relationship with your child and their adoptive family. You may actively participate in selecting the family and be able to spend time with them as you plan for birth.

    Our family is built on love, curiosity, and openness. We support each other in our passions, encourage following dreams, and being one’s true authentic self. We live in a diverse North Dallas neighborhood with access to parks, activities and sports. We enjoy long evening walks with our dog Smokey and cooking together. On the holidays, our yard is full of decorations because we believe life is worth celebrating! We recognize the courage it takes to explore adoption and support whatever level of openness you may choose.

    I am a follower of Christ, a PhD-prepared nurse, and a lover of old school R&B music. I was born and raised in California, spent most of my 30s living in Philadelphia, and moved to Texas two years ago to live closer to my younger sister. When I’m not working, I love traveling to new places, watching stage plays and musicals, and attending concerts. I hope to share these and other fun experiences with my future adopted son or daughter.

    As a high school band director and pediatric nurse practitioner we are blessed to be a part of helping children grow and thrive. We are so thrilled to, now, have the opportunity to grow our family! We live in Dallas, TX where our home is filled with music, laughter, and the wagging tails of our two huskies, Cobalt and Meeko. We can’t imagine what it is like to consider adoption for your child, but we are so humbled that you would consider us to love and nurture your baby.

    We are a loving home of two and have a small dog named Snowy. We live in Allen, Texas, a suburban area in North Dallas. We've been married for 16 years and have a bond based on love, mutual respect, compassion, and understanding. We are extremely excited to welcome a child into our home. We have tons of love to give and are able to raise a child in a supportive, stable, and nurturing environment.

We value openness in adoption and are deeply committed to honoring a child’s culture, identity, and family background. Our 5-year-old, Silas, is so excited to one day have a sibling with whom he can share his love for joyfully singing in the car, traveling to new places, and all things Halloween.
