The Next 100 Years
From “baby nurseries” and “maternity homes” to comprehensive pre- and post-adoption services, Hope Cottage has adapted to the needs of our community. Providing essential adoption services to meet the needs of the people of north Texas for almost 100 years, Hope Cottage has gained a national reputation for excellence. Hope Cottage remains committed to serving the community with that same standard of excellence and expansion of services by
- Expanding outreach to women in crises pregnancies in north and west Texas, including Longview, Tyler, Wichita Falls, El Paso, Lubbock, Denton, Sherman/Denison and the surrounding areas.
- Committing to find more loving homes for children in foster care.
- Increasing the geographical outreach area for character building education for teens.
Poised to begin a second century of building strong families and serving the community, Hope Cottage is looking towards The Next 100 Years…
What can happen when you build on Hope?
Imagine a building that through its structure and design gives hope to children and families across Texas.
That is the future of Hope Cottage…
This new home will facilitate the Hope Cottage mission of building strong families through education, counseling and adoption services. The design incorporates three floors of space that enhance the client experience, support the work of the staff and embrace the community at large.
Everyone gets a feeling of nostalgia when they return to the house that was their first home. For thousands of people, that building is Hope Cottage. Be part of the building that will be Hope Cottage…For the Next 100 Years.

Founded in 2011, The Hope Cottage Heritage Society is a permanent community for Hope Families to maintain their lifelong connection to Hope Cottage. At the same time, members of the society advocate for adoption, for Hope Cottage and guarantee the legacy Emma Wylie Ballard established in 1918 to find loving, permanent homes for children. Thank you to these current members for their support.

Search and Give
What if Hope Cottage earned a donation every time you searched the Internet? Or how about if a percentage of every purchase you made online went to support our cause? Well, now it can!
GoodSearch.com is a new Yahoo-powered search engine that donates half its advertising revenue, about a penny per search, to the charities its users designate. Use it just as you would any search engine, get quality search results from Yahoo, and watch the donations add up!
GoodShop.com is a new online shopping mall which donates up to 37 percent of each purchase to your favorite cause! Hundreds of great stores including Amazon, Target, Gap, Best Buy, ebay, Macy’s and Barnes & Noble have teamed up with GoodShop and every time you place an order, you’ll be supporting your favorite cause.
Just go to www.GoodSearch.com and be sure to enter Hope Cottage as the charity you want to support. And be sure to spread the word!
