Understanding Infant Adoption

Hope Cottage has partnered with Spaulding for Children to offer this very informative training for the state of Texas on understanding the dynamics of infant adoptions.  The curriculum is meant to give health care professionals who come in contact with birth parents facing an unplanned pregnancy the tools to effectively present adoption as an option.  This training covers everything from simple positive adoption language to the tough questions about Texas legislation guiding adoption practice.  For more information on these trainings, to schedule a training, or view upcoming statewide trainings, visit www.iaatp.com or contact Brooks Quinlan at bquinlan@hopecottage.org, 214-526-8721 X 212.

The ABC's of Adoption

Hope Cottage offers this training to DFW area junior and high schools in an effort to educate teens on the true challenges of teenage parenting (cost and commitment) and adoption as an option for teenagers facing an unplanned pregnancy.  This training is about education and not advocacy of adoption and hopes that each teen gains a more realistic understanding of what adoption is so they can make more informed decisions about their pregnancies.  For more information on the ABC's of Adoption presentation or to schedule a presentation at your school, contact Susan Mathews at smathews@hopecottage.org, 214-526-8721 X 215.
